Adore God

Jesus in Paradise

No crown of thorns, no bitter cup,
But gardens where the glad hearts sup;
A laughter bright, a sweet embrace,
The gentle touch of boundless grace.

Not sacrifice alone He brings,
But joy that wakes and softly sings;
The paradise within our frame,
Where pleasure dances in His name.

No shadowed tomb, no tears alone,
But blooming flowers, light full-blown;
He calls the soul to taste and see
The endless feast of liberty.

In every smile, a sacred spring,
In every breath, new life takes wing;
His love, a banquet richly spread,
The table where our fears are shed.

O come, and walk where pleasure grows,
Where every heart in gladness flows;
For Jesus is the sweet release,
The heart where
joy and love increase.
